Press Release - Siófok, 8 January 2009 07.45
Yesterday's (Wednesday) consumption was 61 Mm3
thanks to the milder weather, the introduced restriction measures and
the responsible consumer behaviour. The quantity of the import from
Austria through the HAG pipeline was continuously fluctuating, by the
end of the gas day only 1.5 Mm3 arrived instead of the expected 3 Mm3 so the amount of available resources yesterday was altogether 62.5 Mm3.
The resources for Thursday are being negotiated (import, domestic
production, commercial storages, strategic natural gas storages). The
expected consumption for today is 60-62 Mm3 taking into
account the current restrictions. Following the negotiations on the
available resources for today the FGSZ Ltd is going to examine the
possibility of lifting restriction category II.
