János Zsuga PhD, CEO of FGSZ has been awarded the honourable title of Manager of the Year 2012. The prize, awarded by the National Association of Managers, was handed over on 23 February at the 19th Manager Ball. The jury expressed their appreciation for the successes of János Zsuga PhD, among them for the fact that the net income of FGSZ has increased to 130-150 billion HUF in recent years, in addition to creating hundreds of workplaces.
János Zsuga PhD was nominated for the prize by not only the management of FGSZ but also the former CEO of MOL group, György Mosonyi and the CEO of Legrand Hungary, László Károlyi.
FGSZ has proved several times that it is able to operate professionally not only under normal circumstances but in crisis situations as well. An example for this is the smooth operation of restrictions during the period of reduced gas supply in January of 2006, and also the suspended gas supply due to the Ukrainian-Russian gas debate in January of 2009, when the Hungarian gas transmission was the only one in the region that did not collapse thanks to the team of FGSZ.
“Personally, I am the proudest of my team, so I owe the title of Manager of the Year 2012 – apart from to the jury and those nominating me– to my colleagues. It is their professional and personal values that can make FGSZ so productive and successful.” – János Zsuga PhD was quoted as saying on the occasion, who has been managing the company for ten years.
