Announcement of incremental capacity auctions

According to Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/459, FGSZ has submitted the relevant documentation, agreed earlier with EUSTREAM, regarding the Hungary-Slovakia incremental capacity project to MEKH, that – in a coordinated decision with ÚRSÓ – was approved with the ordinance Nr. 1344/2020. on 5 May 2020. The auction regarding the extension of the HUSK interconnection will start on 6 July 2020 via the Regional Booking Platform (RBP) and according to the auction calendar. In case the auction is successful, the existing HU-SK capacities will be increasing from 1.75 bcma to 5.2 bcma towards Slovakia, starting earliest from the 2024/2025 gas year. The project is of regional importance as it could enable natural gas transmission further towards Austria and the Czech Republic.
Furthermore, according to the ACER decision Nr. 05/2019, FGSZ has also submitted the relevant documentation regarding the Hungary-Austria incremental capacity project to MEKH, that has been approved with the ordinance Nr. 1343/2020 on 5 May 2020 as well.
