DRP test

2020. 10. 27.

FGSZ Ltd pays special attention to the high-level availability of its IT systems, including the IP, Regional Booking Platform, Trading Platform, IPDATA and TSODATA keeping in mind its effect on the security of supply. To do this, among other things, it operates a backup centre with the same functionality as the live system, which is able to take over the functions of the live system within minutes without data loss if the live system would fail. In order to ensure business continuity at all times, it is necessary to regularly test whether the backup system is suitable to perform its role. In the event of a switch-over, it may be necessary to perform changes in the settings in the connected systems operated by you.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the next switching test will take place from 6:00 am Central European Time (CET) on 18 November 2020, which is expected to end by 8:00 am. After the switch-over, we plan to operate 1 (one) full gas day on the backup system. We plan to return to our main site on November 19, 2020, starting at 6:00 a.m., which is expected to end by 8:00 a.m. This testing provides a good opportunity for our Partners to review and, if necessary, supplement their existing business continuity (BCP) processes in case of an unexpected event.

We would like to emphasize that we expect that you will not experience any change other than the change of “Siófok” to “Kápolnásnyék” label on the top right corner above the version number on the graphic interface of the above-mentioned business applications, however, it may be necessary to provide the appropriate IT support after the switch-over and switch-back take place and during the first business-critical machine-to-machine interaction following the switches.

If this has not been done so far, please set / enable the IP addresses of FGSZ’s main site in your own systems that access the business applications via a machine-to-machine connection (e.g. SOAP, AS4, incoming: 195.184.6.100, outgoing: 195.184 .6.1) and the IP addresses of the backup site (incoming: 82.141.149.131, outgoing: 82.141.149.129).

We hope that as a result of testing, the IT availability and resilience, and also the security of supply will increase.

We recommend to check from 8:00 CET on the day of the switch-over and switch-back that the access to the business applications is in order, and to be prepared during the first business interaction after the switch-over and switch-back to perform any necessary interventions in your own system.

If you have any questions about the technical details of the testing, please contact us through our TopDesk ticketing system.

Best regards,

FGSZ Ltd.
