Hungarian and Ukrainian transmission system operators agree on prolonging the test period

As a result of continuous negotiations between FGSZ Ltd and its Ukrainian partner, GTSOU the pilot period published in our newsletterhas been extended.
Accordingly, during the remaining period of the gas year 2021/2022, ie. between 1 April and 30 September 2022, 3 532 015 kWh/h of firm capacities will be available at VIP Bereg HU>UA network point.
The first relevant capacity auction will start at 9.00 am (CET) on 7 February 2022 for the Q3 and Q4 periods of the gas year 2021/2022. The unsold capacities will be offered first as monthly, then the remaining capacities as daily and within-day products.
FGSZ and our Ukrainian partner are working together towards the long-term extension of the availability of firm capacities.
Establishment of the HU>UA firm capacities have no effect on the pre-existing UA>HU transmission capacities and on the booked interruptible capacities for the direction of HU>UA.
