The European Union’s Green Deal sets out carbon neutrality for 2050, and the Hydrogen Strategy will receive a key role in this process. FGSZ plans and forms its own strategy in this spirit, prepares for the challenges of a decarbonised world, and – of course – inspects the possibilities of transporting natural gas–hydrogen blends as well as clean hydrogen.
Transporting hydrogen on pipelines at long distances is an economic and safe solution. The existing natural gas transmission pipeline system gets a crucial role in this since it offers a quicker and more cost-efficient solution for this purpose than building a new system. To prepare our system to receive hydrogen, FGSZ continuously investigates the possibilities to establish our place in the hydrogen economy of the future – now with the efficient contribution of an international expert company.
