FGSZ Re-Elected to the ENTSOG Board

2026. 07. 01.

Effective 1 July 2026, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) has re-elected Ferencz I. Szabolcs, Chairman CEO of FGSZ Ltd., to its Board. The decision on the new Board members was made at the 66th ENTSOG General Assembly. The new mandates will run from 1 July 2026 until 31 December 2027.

FGSZ Ltd. has been actively involved in the work of ENTSOG—the European umbrella organization of gas transmission system operators—since its establishment in 2009. Through its participation, FGSZ represents Hungary’s interests in European legislation and contributes to shaping European policies affecting the gas market and its future transformation. ENTSOG was established under the EU’s Third Energy Package. Its primary objective is to support the development of the European internal gas market and facilitate cross-border natural gas trade and cooperation among transmission system operators through the continuous development of the European gas transmission network, in line with EU energy and climate objectives.

FGSZ Ltd. actively contributes to ENTSOG projects that directly impact its operations, including the development of harmonized European operational and commercial network codes, system development and security-of-supply modelling, and the preparation and regular updating of the Ten-Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) required by European legislation. The members representing Central and Eastern Europe on the governing body of ENTSOG, which now comprises nearly 50 transmission system operator members, are elected on a rotational basis. Ferencz I. Szabolcs, representing FGSZ Ltd., will continue to support the work of the currently 12-member Board alongside representatives of Amber Grid, Eustream and NET4GAS, who also represent the region.
