New Interconnection Agreement between Eustream (Slovakia) and FGSZ (Hungary)
2024. 02. 16.
A new Interconnection Agreement has been signed between FGSZ Zrt. and Slovak Eustream a.s. for the Vel'ké Zlievce/Balassagyarmat Slovak-Hungarian border crossing point.
Under the agreement, based on the market demand assessment ran in 2023, the offered firm capacity at the interconnection point (IP) will be increased by 50% to 3,180,189 kWh/h (from 200,000 cm/h to 300,000 cm/h); i.e. from 1.75 bcma to 2.63 bcma in the direction of Hungary-Slovakia as of the gas day of 20 February 2024.
The increased capacity will be offered as a monthly product (from the gas month of March 2024) and as a daily product (from 20 February 2024) at the respective monthly and daily capacity auctions on 19 February 2024. The increased capacity will be offered at each subsequent capacity auction in accordance with the CAM NC auction calendar.
The capacity increase now being implemented at the Slovak-Hungarian border crossing, which does not require investment on either side, is an important part of the Vertical Corridor.
