Results of the assessment of hydrogen, carbon-dioxide, and biomethane transport demand

During the non-binding survey conducted over the summer, market participants were able to submit their demand regarding: EU cross-border points, Hungarian hydrogen production and consumption points, as well as carbon dioxide emission and storage points, in relation to hydrogen, biomethane, and carbon-dioxide.

Based on the evaluation of the submitted requests, it appears that market demand was received only for hydrogen:

Up to 8.5 TWh/year at exit points and from domestic producers for 0.67 TWh/year at entry points. Regarding cross-border points, entry and exit requests were received for Balassagyarmat, Csanádpalota, and Tornyiszentmiklós. No market demand was received for carbon-dioxide or biomethane.
