The injection of hydrogen into the natural gas transmission system

Dear Partner,
As indicated in our previous newsletters already, our Company is prepared to handle the hydrogen as gas component in its IT systems with the planned introduction of hydrogen from March this year, and the related development was activated on 28 February 2023, following a joint industry test.
However, for the time being, the injection of hydrogen into the natural gas transmission system cannot take place due to the lack of the respective administrative authorisation. Accordingly, until further notice, the value "0" for the hydrogen as gas component in the IT Platform and in the documents available there should be interpreted as "non-measured component". Furthermore, as a result of the above, the sentence "Hydrogen is currently not a measured component." is stated on the relating protocols.
