In their 48th General Assembly, the organisation has elected the President as well as the Members of the Board for the term between 1st January 2022 and 31st December 2024.

FGSZ has been participating in the work of the European umbrella organization of transmission system operators (ENTSOG) since its establishment in 2009, also representing the interests of Hungary in the development of European legislation and policies affecting gas markets and their future transition. The organization was established on the legal basis of the EU's Third Energy Package. FGSZ actively participates in ENTSOG projects related to its activity, such as in the development of consolidated European network codes and the compilation and regular updating of the 10-year network development plans, as set out in the law. ENTSOG membership includes 45 transmission system operators, members in the CEE region are selected on a rotational basis. The currently 12-member Board of Directors shall continue to be supported by the representative of FGSZ, Mr. Szabolcs I. Ferencz, as well as representatives from the region: Gaz-System, Plinovodi, Transgaz, and Bulgartransgaz.

Upon his re-election, Mr Ferencz said, “the activity of the organisation will become more important than ever, just like to search for the answer for new challenges together with European system operators. It is an honour for me as well as to FGSZ to have been entrusted with this position again, hence, as the member of the organisation I can be a part of achieving our common energy and climate goals!”
