Hungarian and Ukrainian transmission system operators agree on prolonging the test period
2022. 01. 24.
As a result of continuous negotiations between FGSZ Ltd. and its Ukrainian partner, Gas TSO of Ukraine, the test period of Q1 2022 - according to which firm gas transmission capacities have been created in the HU>UA direction from January – has been extended.
Accordingly, the 3 532 015 kWh/h firm capacity will be available at Virtual Interconnection Point Bereg in the remaining time of the 2021/2022 gas year (until 30th September). The first relevant capacity auction will start at 9.00 am on 7 February 2022 for the Q3 and Q4 periods of the gas year 2021/2022. The unsold capacities will be offered first as monthly, then the remaining capacities as daily and within-day products.
FGSZ and its Ukrainian partner will further work on extending the availability of long-term firm capacities in the HU>UA direction.
The periodical establishment of the HU>UA firm capacities have no effect on the pre-existing UA>HU transmission capacities, neither on interruptible capacities on VIP Bereg HU>UA, booked earlier.
