2021. 11. 01.

Serbian transit system operator GASTRANS d.o.o. informed our company a little after 4 am that due to problems having occurred on the section of the transit route before Serbia, in Bulgaria, natural gas transportation from Bulgaria to Serbia, and as a direct consequence from Serbia to Hungary stops for an unforeseeable amount of time.

The stoppage of the import on the Serbian-Hungarian route caused and expectedly will cause no disturbance in the natural gas supply, the amount lost this way will be substituted with gas from other sources, typically from domestic storages or from import.

Domestic market participants have been at service immediately: to support Serbian supply, they export 5 million m3 natural gas from Hungarian source from 1 November 14.00 till at least 2 November 6.00. Uninterrupted transportation of said amount will be secured by the system of FGSZ Ltd.

Apart from the Serbian border, import capacities of all other interconnection points are available without restrictions, so gas arrives or may arrive to Hungary from Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, or Croatia as well. Moreover, domestic production and storage capacities are also fully available.
