Szabolcs Ferencz I. is now a member of WONY

Despite making up 48% of the global labour force, women only make up 26% of the workforce. In high-level positions this ratio is even lower – a mere 17% of board members in the CEE region’s energy companies are female. So, we may declare without overstatement that the energy industry is still very much male-dominated.

To increase the number of female leaders in the energy sector is te goal of the Women in Energy (WONY) initiative. The organisation has been working for four years to achieve an increase in the number of female leaders both in the country and in the CEE region. Our Chairman-CEO, Szabolcs Ferencz I. has joined this important initiative, who, now also as a new member of WONY, wishes to support diversity and gender equality in FGSZ and in the sector as well.

The ratio of female colleagues in FGSZ increases slowly, it is around 20% at present. This ratio is rather modest, despite the fact that in natural gas transportation most workplaces are blue-collar ones.

We are constantly working to fully achieve our key values efficient, safe, partner, and modern in our Company, not only in our professional activity but in our corporate culture, processes, as well as the composition of our team.
